Welcome back to a new and exciting school year! We are thrilled to officially introduce Eagle Bay Academy, formerly known as OnTop and Horizons. As we transition into our beautiful new Rock Point campus, we’re putting the finishing touches on what promises to be a truly inspiring learning environment.
Eagle Bay Academy is Burlington High School’s flexible pathway option for completing high school. We take immense pride in fostering a student-centered learning environment that emphasizes Real-World Learning and Project-Based Learning. Our goal is to provide our students with authentic experiences that extend beyond the traditional classroom, helping them develop essential skills and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Over the past few years, we have carefully refined our mission and vision, moving towards a focus on proficiency-based learning rather than conventional grading practices and seat time. We believe that students should have a voice in their education, and we are committed to recognizing the diverse ways in which they can learn, both within and beyond the classroom walls.
