I’ve been part of the Burlington School District for 23 years, and my journey in education has been deeply fulfilling. I started as a librarian at H.O. Wheeler, where I cherished the daily read-alouds and the joy of sharing children’s books with students. Those early years fueled my passion for creating enriching learning experiences.
After my time as a librarian, I developed and ran our Summer Learning Program SOAR for several years before stepping into the role of Principal at the Integrated Arts Academy. During my time there, I became a firm believer in the power of the arts to transform both learning experiences and lives.
From the Integrated Arts Academy, I transitioned to leadership roles at OnTop and Horizons. Now, I’m excited to be part of a new chapter at Eagle Bay Academy, where I’m committed to placing students at the center of their own learning. At Eagle Bay, students are the curriculum, and I’m thrilled to help guide them on their educational journeys.
I’m a native Burlingtonian, having attended Flynn, Hunt, and Burlington High School back in the 70s and 80s. This brings my total time in the Burlington School District to 36 years—as both a student and an employee.
On a personal note, I’m a proud father of three wonderful children: Haedyn (26), Holden (24), and Maya (16). I’ve been married for 18 years to Aly, who is a special educator in the BSD. In my spare time, I enjoy playing pickleball, strumming my guitar and writing songs, curling up with a good book, and exploring the world of vegan cuisine. It’s an honor to serve and support the Eagle Bay Academy community, and I’m looking forward to the exciting journey ahead.
